The Society is governed and directed by the following members:

R. Rodney Howell, M.D., Chairman of the Board, is Professor and Chairman of Pediatrics, Emeritus and Emeritus Member of the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the Miller School of Medicine of the University of Miami.  He previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The author of numerous articles on human genetics, he also has received awards from Duke University, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, among many others.

John Esselstyn Howell, President, is co-Founder, President and Director of COMSovereign Holding Corp, and also serves on the Board of MDA.  John is an alumnus of Davidson College, was a Fulbright Scholar and has served in both uniformed and civilian capacities worldwide and is both Airborne and Ranger Qualified. 

Julia K. Brandi, Executive Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, has had an extensive career in health care management and communications both in this country and abroad, including developing the NYSHMO Conference, and building a private healthcare company in Central and Eastern Europe. 

Grace Meyer Howell is an Honors Graduate of Stanford University and brings expertise in a wide range of marketing and sales including medical equipment, consumer products and hospitality. 

Elizabeth Eriksson Howell, has a lifelong interest in veterinary medicine and after receiving a degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University, and many years working in private practices, in 2017 launched a veterinary hospital.
